The in-person early voting period for the November 2025 municipal elections begins Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025, and ends at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025.
Same day registration is also available for those who have not already registered in a county to vote.
Early voting sites will be open from 8am to 7:30pm on weekdays and 8am to 3pm on Saturdays. No early voting on Sundays.

Polling places will be open from 6:30am to 7:30pm. Anyone in their line at the assigned polling place will be allowed to vote according to North Carolina State Board of Elections

Please find your Town Council district and registration status information here. Voters will be asked to show their photo ID although all voters will be allowed to vote with or without a photo ID according to North Carolina State Board of Elections.
The deadline to request an absentee ballot is 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct 21, 2025.
